📚 Read & Return Policy

At ReadMatter, we believe books should be read and shared – not shelved indefinitely. That’s why we created Read & Return, a program that allows you to return qualifying books and receive 35% of the original purchase price back in store credit.

✅ Eligibility

• Only books purchased directly from ReadMatter are eligible.
• Only books that display “Returnable” on their product page qualify.
• The program applies to purchases made on or after 15 July 2025.

🔄 Return Conditions

• Returns must be initiated within 30 days of receipt. This is calculated from the courier’s delivery confirmation or collection date.
• All books are photographed before dispatch and inspected upon return.
• Books must be returned in the same condition as sent. Damaged or significantly worn books may not qualify.
• Books with the ReadMatter sticker removed or tampered with will be rejected.
• Returned books are evaluated based on their condition at the time we receive them. It is the buyer’s responsibility to pack them adequately for return transit. If books are damaged during return shipping, we cannot accept them for credit.

💳 Credit & Value

• A guaranteed 35% of the price you paid will be issued as store credit.
• If you used a discount code, the 35% will be calculated on the discounted amount.
• Store credit is only issued after the book has passed inspection.

🚚 Returning the Book

• You must arrange and pay for the return, either via courier or in person.
• Books returned after 30 days may be accepted at our discretion, on a case-by-case basis.

📅 Program Changes

• ReadMatter reserves the right to end or change the program with 30 days’ notice posted on our site.
