ReadMatter Delivery Policy

At ReadMatter, we understand that timely delivery is important to our customers. That's why we have implemented the following delivery policy to ensure that your order arrives safely and efficiently.

General Delivery Information

  • All orders are processed and booked for shipping within 2 working days of receipt. By "ship," we refer to booking the waybill with the courier. We cannot be held responsible for any delays in courier pickup once the parcel has been booked.
  • The day the order is placed is considered Day 0. The next working day is Day 1, and the following working day is Day 2. Orders placed after business hours or over the weekend will have their next working day counted as Day 0.
  • We dispatch orders from Monday to Friday.
  • For door-to-door deliveries, we use a variety of service providers, including The Courier Guy, Aramex, Fastway, Internet Express, Skynet, RAM, and DPD Laser. The choice of carrier is based on the volumetric weight of the package, the delivery address, and the most economical fee to ensure cost-effective and efficient shipping.
  • We offer a range of shipping options, including collection point delivery and door-to-door delivery. Shipping costs vary based on the selected shipping method and destination.
  • All orders are shipped with a tracking number, which will be provided to you upon shipment. You can track the status of your order by visiting the carrier's website and entering your tracking number.
  • If you have any special delivery instructions or requests, please let us know at the time of your order, and we will do our best to accommodate them.

Special Notes on PUDO Deliveries & Free PUDO Shipping (Orders Over R599)

  • PUDO orders will be booked within the standard processing timeframes, provided that a locker is available at our dispatch location. If no locker doors are available at the time of dispatch, there may be a delay in shipping until space becomes available.
  • PUDO shipments will be delivered to the specified PUDO locker or, if no preference is given, to the nearest available PUDO locker based on the buyer's registered address.
  • To ensure accurate delivery, buyers are encouraged to leave their preferred destination PUDO locker address in the order notes or under the shipping address section at checkout.
  • If a specific PUDO locker is not provided, the PUDO system will auto-allocate the nearest locker based on the recipient's residential address and availability.
  • Locker Availability & Priority:
    • We prioritize paid PUDO shipping over free PUDO shipping.
    • In the event of limited locker availability, customers who paid for PUDO delivery will receive preference over those using the free shipping option.
    • If a paid PUDO order and a free PUDO order are awaiting locker space, the paid order will be booked first.

Alternative Locker Services

  • We reserve the right to use an equivalent service provider to ensure efficient and timely delivery.
  • PUDO locker bookings may be made with BobBox or Pargo when necessary.
  • When using an alternative service, we will ensure that the service level, delivery timeframes, and proximity to the recipient’s address remain equivalent to the original PUDO service.
