Where We Are

ReadMatter runs a little differently to a traditional bookshop. While our HQ is based in Sydenham – where all orders are packed, dispatched, and occasionally collected – our actual books live across two off-site storage depots. That means we don’t have a physical storefront to browse, and unfortunately we can’t accommodate walk-ins or in-store shopping.

Instead, we’ve made sure our entire collection (over 8,000 titles!) is available online – and we upload hundreds more each week. We also have a bookmobile, packed with a curated selection of books, which hits the road on Sundays and pops up at events, markets, and community spaces around Joburg.

Perfect for book clubs, old age homes, hospitals, school visits, community outreach, markets, fairs, and fêtes. We come to you, wherever books are needed most.
